Guava is a fruit that is widely known throughout the Caribbean. In this recipe, I wanted to show how to make this 3-ingredient guava juice.
Guava is a fruit widely known throughout the Caribbean, we use it for jams, rums and juices. In this recipe, I decided to use the famous guava and make an easy 3-Ingredient Guava Juice that I know you will love.
From November to April, you can find guava just about anywhere. Which explains why we always had guava tart and guavaberry rum during Christmas. I wasn’t always a fan but throughout the years it has grown on me, especially guava juice. Obviously, I am sharing a homemade recipe with you guys.
Although juicers are a thing that exist, I do not own one. I guess I am not in a hurry to get one because I have a blender. Some people think that you cannot make homemade juices without a juicer but you definitely can. Thankfully, I can make juices with a blender.
Unlike a juicer, a blender will require an extra step which is straining. So in order to have a smooth juice, you will need to strain it first. I didn’t use any fancy strainers, I just use the usual one and it worked just fine.
Recently, I have been into making almost everything from scratch, especially juices. Although making things from scratch tends to be better, sometimes they can take up time and energy. But I love this recipe because it only requires 3 main ingredients.
Of course, who wouldn’t like a quick, homemade and easy recipe. I know I did and I know you will too.
Before diving into the recipe, I thought I should share some TIPS & TRICKS with you guy first:
TIPS & TRICKS
- Prepping the fruit: Sadly, you jut can’t just through the entire fruit into the blender so you have to prep it in advance. It is pretty simple. All you have to do is to cut the guava into four parts and then remove the fruit from the outer layer. Wash them and throw it into the blender.
- Making the juice: Another easy step, all I did was add all the ingredients into the blender and then I blended it. I blended everything until it is completely blended together.
- Straining and Storing: I strained the juice into a pitcher because by removing the pulp you will have the juice for aa longer period. I have noticed that keeping the pulp will make the juice go bad quicker. The juice can actually last 7-10 days without the pulp.
I hope you enjoy the recipe.
Now, let’s get into it.
