When I was making my Twix Cheesecake I knew I had to add salted caramel sauce to it. So I had to share my take on the classic, yet delicious Salted Caramel Sauce recipe.
This not only goes well with a cheesecake but also with apple. Just imagine dipping a granny smith apple in to this sauce. Pure perfection.
This Salted Caramel Sauce recipe is what you need in your recipe folder. Hopefully I am not the only one with that.

Ingredients:
- 3/4 cup Granulated sugar
- 4 tbsp Unsalted butter, at room temperature
- 1 tsp Vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup Heavy cream, at room temperature
- 1 tbsp Salt
Directions:
- In a sauce pan over medium-low heat add the sugar and let it melt into a brown thick liquid. Be sure not to stir it.
- Add the butter once the sugar has completely melted, stir until everything is mixed in perfectly then stir in the heavy cream. Let it simmer for one minute.
- Remove from the heat and stir in the vanilla extract and the salt. Let it cool and enjoy!
