Although, you can make these pancakes with regular milk, I think you should at least try to get your hands on buttermilk. Buttermilk ensures that moist and fluffy texture. In my opinion, I think it comes from the sourness of the buttermilk and the way it reacts with the baking powder. However, this in’t a scientific argument it’s just my own argument. So please don’t quote me on it.

Of course this recipe is made with simple ingredients that you can already find in your pantry so you can make this now. And no homemade pancakes aren’t hard to make, it’s super easy and it tastes way better than the pre-made kinds. Trust me this recipe is worth it.

Before going into the recipe, I thought I should share some TIPS & TRICKS with you guys:

TIPS & TRICKS
  • The batter: A pancake batter is actually quite simple to make. In order to ensure my pancakes come out close to perfect every single time, I have to make sure I get the better right all the time. I like to start by mixing my wet ingredients together. Once my eggs, melted butter and vanilla are mixed together perfectly then I sift in the wet ingredients being sure to alternate with the buttermilk.
  • Cooking the pancakes: When it comes to cooking the pancakes, I’ve learned that the temperature is key. If you want a nice golden brown pancake then I highly suggest cooking your pancake on a medium-low heat. If it’s too hot it will burn, if it’s too low it will be tough. But one thing that changed the cooking process was not adding butter to the pan. When butter gets hot it burns so I suggest greasing the pan and not letting the butter melt. Lastly, you only need to flip the pancakes once.
