Cake is delicious, we don’t think there is someone who doesn’t like cake. Cake is a huge part of our regular way of life. There are many different flavors and one of our favorite flavors is this vanilla buttermilk cake recipe.
This cake is fluffy and moist because of the buttermilk. By using buttermilk, the cake is moist and literally melts in your mouth.
In order to enjoy cake and fall in love with it, you must get the ingredients and techniques down correctly. If you add too much sugar, your cake will be too sweet and not eatable, if you don’t add enough liquids it will be too dry… So we thought this recipe would help you.

Vanilla Buttermilk Cake
Ingredients
- 2 cups All purpose Flour sifted
- 1 & 1/2 cups Granulated sugar
- 1 & 1/4 cups Buttermilk
- 1/4 cup Vegetable oil
- 3 Eggs at room temperature
- 1 & 1/2 tsp Vanilla extract
- 1 tsp Baking powder
- 1/2 tsp Baking soda
- 1/4 tsp Salt
Instructions
Preheat & Grease:
- Preheat oven to 350°F/180°C. Grease and flour a 12-inch bundt pan, set it aside.
Dry ingredients:
- In a mixing bowl whisk together the eggs, vegetable oil, vanilla extract and sugar until everything is mixed well together. Set aside.
Wet ingredients:
- In a separate bowl mix the flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt together.
Combine the two:
- Add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients while alternating with the buttermilk.
Bake:
- Once the batter is mixed well, pour it into the greased pan and bake for 1 h20-25 or until a toothpick inserted in comes out clean.
- Let it cool for 10-15 minutes. You can always glaze the cake or frost or enjoy it plain.

- 1 cup Powdered sugar
- 4 tbsp Whole milk
