Salads are known to be healthy but who said they had to be boring. This citrus creole salad dressing will not only make your salad tasty but also fun.
I don’t think I’m the healthiest person on this planet but I do pay attention to what I eat. Occasionally I like to make salads for myself, however they have to be tasty and not boring. In order for the salad to be tasty, you have to have the right dressing on top of it and I got the right recipe for you. This Citrus Creole Salad Dressing recipe is perfect for you.
Creole is just another way of saying Caribbean food, more specifically it’s what we use to refer to talk about French Caribbean food. Salads aren’t part of traditional Caribbean cuisine, so growing up it wasn’t an usual thing. Although it wasn’t part of my culture, I thought I could add a little Caribbean heat to salads.
I am not a health nut but being aware of what I eat is important to me. Although we do have to eat better, we also have to eat good which means food with taste. Salads get a bad rep for being boring and bland most of the time. Thankfully, this citrus salad dressing will make any salad taste great.
It may sound like I’m just hyping this up but it really is good. It’s my new favorite recipe and I will always look forward to using it on all of my salads in the future. The fact that it is packed with most of the things we used in the Caribbean is just perfect and the combination of lime and lemon is amazing.
This dressing reminds me of the typical French Caribbean pepper sauce called Sauce Chien. It is very much similar and it was my source of inspiration for this recipe.
I hope you enjoy the recipe.
