Soursop is a fruit that is widely grown throughout the Caribbean. It is a fruit that is green on the outside and white on the inside. It has many health benefits and the people use the leaves from the tree to make tea. We decided to use the fruit to make the traditional homemade Caribbean soursop juice.

When you see a fresh soursop, it might not entice you into picking it up. It isn’t the best looking fruit but it is one of the tastiest. Along with being tasty, it is widely use in the Caribbean to make sorbets, candies, smoothies and juices.

In order to use the fruit, you have to use the white pulp on the inside. We used the pulp to make our homemade Caribbean soursop juice. All you need to do is to blend everything and then you get a juice.

Homemade Caribbean Soursop Juice

Once you get your hands on a fresh soursop you can make this homemade Caribbean Soursop juice. It is refreshing, tasty and one of a kind.
Servings 4

Ingredients

  • 1 medium Ripe soursop (about 1 lb)
  • 2 cups Water
  • 1 cup Evaporated milk
  • 1/2 cup Granulated sugar
  • 1 & 1/2 tsp Vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp Ground or freshly grated cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp Ground or freshly grated nutmeg

Instructions

  • Peel the soursop and remove the seeds in a bowl with water. Squeeze the pulp the remove the seeds.
  • Pour the pulp along with the water into a blender along with cinnamon, nutmeg, sugar and evaporated milk. Blend everything. ⁠⁠
  • Once it is blended, strain the juice into a pitcher and serve. ⁠
