Haiti is one of the larger islands in the Caribbean. It is known for its rich history and mazing scenery, and also its food. We wanted to share one of our favorite Haitian food which is this quick Haitian red beans sauce recipe.
Unlike the traditional recipe called Sauce Pwa, this is a quick version. Traditionally, you would use dried beans which would have to be soaked overnight then boiled for at least two hours. But we wanted to go the quicker route and we used canned beans instead.
We are not claiming this as a traditional recipe, it is just a quicker version of the recipe. We hope you still give this quick Haitian red beans sauce recipe a try.
