Caribbean Spiced Sorrel Tea
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup Dried sorrel
- 1 & 1/2 cups Water
- 1 Cinnamon stick
- 1 Star anise
- 1/4 tsp Ground ginger
- 1/4 tsp Ground nutmeg
- Sweetener(agave syrup, honey or brown/white sugar)
Instructions
- Add water to a small pot along with the cinnamon stick, star anise, nutmeg and ginger.
- Stir everything and bring to a boil. It should take 2-5 minutes.
- Once the water has been boiled, remove from the heat.
- Stir in the dried sorrel. Let it steep for 5-10 minutes.
- Drain the tea into cups and sweeten to your likeness.
- Serve and enjoy!
