If you ever have yogurt just sitting in the fridge, you should definitely try this french yogurt cake recipe.
Yogurt is one of my favourite snacks, I love the flavoured ones but the plain flavour never fails. Although I love yogurt, sometimes I forget I have them in the fridge and then they expire or are very close to expiring. So whenever that happens I look forward to making this classic french yogurt cake recipe. It is an amazing recipe.
Yogurt cake is one of those simple and easy cake recipes. If you want to make a cake but you don’t want to go through the headache of cake making then this is one of you. All you need is one bowl for this recipe and your cake pan, and of course your oven.
The thing I love with this yogurt cake recipe is the fact that it can be eaten either as a dessert or for breakfast. I know they say you mustn’t eat sweets for breakfast but you can get away with eating this one. And if people still judge you, I have the perfect excuse: the french eat sweet pastries for breakfast, so since this is a french recipe I am obeying their culture.
Another amazing thing about this recipe is the calories. So I am on this journey to lose weight and tone, which means that I have to count those calories. This cake isn’t as dense as a typical pound cake or vanilla cake, it is light fluffy but filled with goodness.
As I am writing this, I’m reminiscing on my last slice of this cake. I am definitely making a next one right now.
I hope you enjoy the recipe.
Let’s get into it.
