Meatballs aren’t a Summer must have but who cares right? Meatballs can be eaten at any time of the year especially if they are these spicy pineapple BBQ meatballs.
These meatballs are made from scratch and they include some amazing Caribbean flavors such as pimento peppers and scotch bonnet pepper. This recipe is perfect if you want to do something different with your meatballs.
Along with being tasty, the meatballs are covered in an amazing homemade spicy pineapple bbq sauce. It is amazing because it is made by us. The bbq sauce is perfect for these meatballs.
Delicious Spicy Pineapple BBQ Meatballs
These spicy pineapple bbq meatballs are the perfect way to add a bit of sweetness and spiciness to your meatballs. Perfect for any party.
Ingredients
- 1 lb Ground beef
- 4-6 sprigs Fresh parsley finely chopped
- 2-3 sprigs Fresh thyme
- 2 medium Pimento peppers finely diced
- 2 medium Garlic cloves minced
- 1 medium Egg
- 1 medium Onion finely diced
- 1/2 medium Scotch bonnet pepper finely diced
- 1/2 cup Breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup Pineapple BBQ sauce
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1/4 tsp Black pepper
- Olive oil or another oil for cooking
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix the ground beef, peppers, seasonings, herbs, onion, garlic, egg and breadcrumbs together.
- Form equal balls and then set aside on a plate.
- Warm a pan or skillet over medium heat then add the oil.
- Add the meatballs to the pan and cook on one side for 7-8 minutes then flip and cook for another 7-8 minutes.
- Stir in the BBQ sauce being sure to cover the meatballs and cook for an additional 5 minutes.
