Food is always the life of the party. Whenever I go to a party, I’m always curious to see what people are going to serve. Besides the music, people and decorations, the food is always the focal point. So if you don’t want me to judge your party harshly then you need to have this EXTRA Creamy Warm Potato Salad recipe on the buffet.
Unlike regular potato salad, warm potato salad is served either warm or at room temperature. Regular potato salad is usually refrigerated and served cold. I honestly like both versions but the warm potato salad has now become my favorite.
Undoubtedly, there are tons of warm potato salad recipes on the net. But when I finally discovered this creamy goodness, I knew I had to try it and share it. It was too good to not post on this site.
I kept my recipe pretty simple, I didn’t want to do too much to this salad. Along with mayonnaise, I thought yellow mustard would be a very nice compliment. I felt as though the tanginess from the yellow mustard would help bring out that smooth, creamy and slightly sweet mayo.
Previously I said I wanted to keep things simple, so to really live up to that I went for simple bonus ingredients. I simply used bell peppers, red onion, fresh parsley and of course salt and pepper.
I didn’t want to do nothing too complicated nor add too many things that will be too overwhelming. But you can always add more things to the potato salad, like bacon for instance.
What potato to use for this salad?
I can’t say I know much about potatoes but I always use Yukon gold potatoes for this recipe.
I just think they work better but you can also use the red potatoes, but I prefer the yellow ones.
To make your job easier, I suggest using the small baby potatoes but if you can’t get your hands on them, use the regular size one.
I hope you enjoy the recipe.
