Lemonade is quite an easy recipe. The key to a good lemonade is to not have seeds in your juice, which is crucial and to have a simple syrup. By using simple syrup, the sugar will dissolve nicely into the lemonade and you won’t having sugar sticking at the bottom of your cup.

Ingredients:

(makes 6-8 cups)

  • 6-8 Lemons
  • 1 cup Blackberries
  • 2 cups Water, divided
  • 1 cup Granulated sugar

Directions.

  1. Start by making the simple syrup. In a medium sauce pan over medium heat, add the sugar and 1 cup of water and let it simmer until the sugar has dissolved. Remove from the heat and let it cool.
  2. In a blender, blend the blackberries with the other cup of water for 2 minutes. Strain the blend to remove the seeds.
  3. Squeeze the lemons into a pitcher, making sure not to squeeze in seeds. Then add the blackberry mixture and the simple syrup. Mix everything together and refrigerate at least for 3 hours before serving. Enjoy!
