Being a Caribbean girl means that I get to enjoy some amazing tropical fruits, like mangos. I used to walk down the streets to the market and buy some fresh mangos, they are the best snack and ingredient for any recipe. It is a versatile fruit and you can make thousands of recipes with it including this mango lemonade recipe.
I always look forward to making this lemonade anytime it’s mango season because it brings joy to my heart but also brings back my childhood memories. Mangos are one of my many best friends.
I love this lemonade not only because it has mangos in it but also because it is refreshing especially since it is getting warmer. - Mangos contain a natural source of vitamin A and C. This is perfect to boost your immune system and it can also be an alternative to oranges. It also contains vitamin E.
- Mangos contain a decent amount of B6 in them as well along with fibre and calcium.
- Mangos also aid in constipation related issues.

Mango lemonade
Ingredients
Simple syrup:
- 2 cups Water
- 1/3 cups Granulated sugar
Mango purée:
- 2-3 Mangos sliced and diced
- Juice of half a lime
Mango lemonade:
- 1 cup Lemon juice (about 4-6 lemons)
Instructions
Simple syrup:
- In a medium sauce pan over medium, add water and stir in the granulated sugar. Let it simmer until the sugar has dissolved for about 5-7 minutes.
- Remove from the heat and let it cool completely.
Mango purée:
- In a blender, add the mangos and lime juice. Blend all the ingredients together until it is puréed.
- Strain the purée into a pitcher.
Mango lemonade:
- Stir in the lemon juice and the simple syrup.
- Place in the fridge to chill or enjoy with some ice.
