Browning sauce is a dark sauce that can be used in sweet or savory dishes. This sauce is in various Caribbean recipes. Although you can buy it in the store, it is always the best when it is homemade. So in this recipe we will be showing you how to make Caribbean browning sauce.
Usually, browning is used for black cake. But it can also be used to season your meats. When it is bought in the store, it is strictly for savory recipes because it contains a lot of salt.
We made this recipe with the understanding that some people may need it for cakes and others may need it for a meat. This recipe can be used for both. If you are using it for a sweet recipe then I suggest not adding the salt. However, if you are using this recipe for a savory recipe then you can add the salt.
