If you are wondering what to do with the extra jerk seasoning in your pantry, then this Tasty Mango Jerk Chicken Burger is for you. We love burgers but there isn’t a good burger that represents the flavors in the Caribbean. In order to embrace some of our flavors, we thought about using jerk seasoning and mango.
We used our famous Spicy Mango Mayo Sauce as a burger sauce. Jerk seasoning tends to have a little spicy kick and we thought we needed something sweet to match with it. Creating a mango sauce to go with this patty was the best thing we did.
Not only is the sauce unique but the burger itself is unique. We adding dried jerk seasoning to our patty and it really made us travel to a nice sandy beach. If you were skeptical about using your jerk seasoning outside of chicken, then you must give this tasty mango jerk chicken burger a try.
Tasty Mango Jerk Chicken Burger
Ingredients
- 1 lb Ground chicken
- 1 Egg
- 1/4 & 2 cup & tbsp Breadcrumbs
- 1 & 1/2 tsp Dry jerk seasoning
- 1 tsp Garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1/2 tsp Paprika
- 1/4 tsp Black pepper
- 1/4 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tbsp Oil
- Spicy mango mayo sauce recipe on the site
- Lettuce
- Burger buns
- Cooked onions
Instructions
- Add the ground chicken, paprika, egg, garlic powder, salt, black pepper, jerk seasoning and worcestershire sauce. Mix everything together.
- Form the mixture into 4 equal patties.
- Heat the oil in on skillet/fry pan over medium-high heat then cook the patties on each side for 5-7 minutes.
- Once the patties are done cooking, make the burger by adding the sauce unto each bun then add the patty, followed by the lettuce and onions.
