Banana Bread French Toast

This banana bread french toast is a great way to use up those ripe bananas you have sitting there. It takes breakfast to a whole new level.

Ingredients

  • 8-10 slices Brioche bread halved
  • 2 medium Ripe bananas mashed
  • 2 medium Eggs
  • 1/4 cup Evaporated milk at room temperature
  • 3 tsp Butter
  • 1 tsp Vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp Ground or freshly grated cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp Ground or freshly grated nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp Almond essence
  • 1/4 tsp Grond allspice
  • 1/4 tsp Ground cloves
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  • In a bowl, beat the eggs then whisk in the evaporated milk, cinnamon, ground cloves, nutmeg, allspice, vanilla extract, mashed bananas, salt and almond essence.⁠⁠⁠⁠
  • Warm a frying pan/skillet over medium heat then melt the butter.⁠⁠
  • Take a slice of the bread and coat each side with the batter. Drain off the excess.
  • Cook on each side for 2-3 minutes before removing from the pan.⁠⁣⁠
  • When it's done drizzle on the pancake syrup and enjoy.
