Caribbean Spiced Sorrel Tea

This Caribbean spiced sorrel tea is an easy, homemade tea made with dried sorrel flowers, cinnamon, star anise, ginger and other spices.

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup Dried sorrel
  • 1 & 1/2 cups Water
  • 1 Cinnamon stick
  • 1 Star anise
  • 1/4 tsp Ground ginger
  • 1/4 tsp Ground nutmeg
  • Sweetener(agave syrup, honey or brown/white sugar)

Instructions

  • Add water to a small pot along with the cinnamon stick, star anise, nutmeg and ginger.
  • Stir everything and bring to a boil. It should take 2-5 minutes.
  • Once the water has been boiled, remove from the heat.
  • Stir in the dried sorrel. Let it steep for 5-10 minutes.
  • Drain the tea into cups and sweeten to your likeness.
  • Serve and enjoy!
